Joseph discusses the craft of writing and how he got started as an author.




That was a fantastic interview.  Some of the insights went in directions I didn't expect.  For example, the use of profanity in a book.  I was very surprised by your take on it and the feedback you have experienced from your readers.

After giving it some thought, I realize that no harsh language really did appear in the majority of your books.  At least none stands out in retrospect.  In the past I had figured that sort of writing might lack authenticity.  Such language is prevalent in the real world.  If its not in the book, the dialog might not be painting an actuate representation of a possible real world.  But the fact that I never noticed a lack of such language while reading rather proved your point.  This gives me something to reevaluate...
